How can I find out if the hard disk has had a format C?

I recently bought a computer and I am pretty sure it is a used one instead of a new one ,which i wanted. I tried to recover files from the time before purchase and it came up with files like recovered NTFS partition and recovered FAT partition 1 .
it doesnt show anyspecific files cause the little folders in both category have red little crosses on them.
help someone!

y does it matter, use bc wipe 3 and completely wipe the hdd then reinstall the os, brand new.
